(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 07, 2012 ) SAN DIEGO and SANTA CLARA, CA – TSIA’s 2012 TSIA Heatmap report was released today at Technology Services World 2012 (TSW). The annual report is based on the findings of the 2012 TSIA Services Technology Survey, which documents TSIA member adoption, satisfaction, and planned spending across 24 areas of services and technology used by education services, professional services, field services, support services, and service revenue generation practitioners.
The purpose of the TSIA Heatmap is to enable service organizations to make a simple, high-level assessment of the sophistication of their services technology infrastructure compared to industry peers.
The survey findings were shared by the report’s author, John Ragsdale, TSIA’s vice president of technology research, during his afternoon Power Hour Session at TSW and will be released in multiple publications to TSIA corporate members. Also revealed were the technology categories with the highest year-over-year growth in adoption, including enterprise mobility, multichannel management, and analytic platforms.
Says Ragsdale, “We asked members what technology and services they are using, how satisfied they are with them, and in what areas they have plans for additional investments in 2012–2013. It’s vital that service management continually benchmark their adoption of technology against industry peers, as more sophisticated technology lends a competitive edge to service operations.”
